Burger and kabob hut is a casual fast food spot at 4142 University Wy NE, Seattle, WA 98105, right in the University District. The restaurant has a strong local name for Indian style burgers, spicy masala flavors, kabob pita sandwiches, quick service, and late night meals near the University of Washington area.

The menu feels fun from the first look. Instead of a plain burger shop, Burger and kabob hut mixes American comfort food with Indian spices, paneer, grilled meats, veggie patties, pita bread, fries, shakes, and house sauces. It suits students, night shift workers, groups of friends, and anyone craving a filling meal after regular dinner hours.

The Chicken Masala Burger is one of the most talked about items. It brings marinated chicken, herbs, spices, Swiss cheese, and a bold sauce profile into a soft burger bun. The flavor is savory, peppery, and rich, with enough heat to wake up the meal. For spice lovers, it is a smart first pick.

The Paneer Masala Burger is another favorite, especially for vegetarian diners. Paneer gives the burger a firm, creamy bite, and the spicy veggie sauce adds a strong Indian fast food feel. Many guests praise it for taste, size, and heat. The Veggie Masala Burger and Bikaneri Samosa Burger add more meat free choices, making the restaurant useful for mixed groups.

Kabob items give the menu more range. Grilled shrimp pita, fish pita, teriyaki pita, and other pita style plates offer a lighter handheld option next to the heavier burgers. Fries, jalapeño peppers, appetizers, beverages, and milkshakes round out the meal. The menu is casual, but it has more personality than a normal campus burger counter.

The vibe is quick, simple, and student friendly. It is the type of place where guests order at the counter, grab food to go, or use delivery apps for a late snack. Public delivery pages list strong ratings and many repeat guest notes, with praise for the chicken masala burger, paneer burger, Indian fusion style, fast service, and good value.

Burger and kabob hut is a strong pick for Seattle diners who want spicy burgers, paneer sandwiches, kabob pitas, veggie options, and late night comfort food near University Way. A good first order is the Chicken Masala Burger, Paneer Masala Burger, fries, and a milkshake.

Stopped by recently and loved it! The menu has so many options—you can basically find every fast food side you’ve ever wanted. I had the paneer burger and it was seriously good, and there are lots of other vegetarian choices too, which makes it great if you’re looking to mix it up. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. The restaurant has a casual, laid-back vibe, perfect for a quick bite or a fun lunch with friends. Portions are generous, and the food feels fresh and satisfying. Honestly, it’s hard to find spots like this that combine tasty food, lots of choices, and really friendly service. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more off the menu! Wait time

I ordered a meal to go and halfway through watching them cook I had to leave. I watched the cook pulling beef patties out of a box that was on the ground, no gloves being used and the cook was pulling earwax out of his ear while at the grill. Not a care in the world. The total lack of hygiene was astounding. I paid for my food when I ordered and didn’t even ask for my money back, I just left. I highly recommend not eating at this establishment if you care about sanitation.

Geeked review pilot - E01 Arrived at 1:05. Ordered eggplant burger medium spicy fries and coke zero. Guy who took my order was very polite. Nice amount of seating. Service a little slow, got food around 120, but I didn't really mind because I got to check up on stuff for classes tomorrow. I wasn't sure what to exactly expect with the eggplant burger but I've been looking to get more into eggplant lately so I thought I'd explore a potential use case. Burger came on a sesame seed bun with roasted eggplant, cheese, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and some sort of chili sauce akin to sambal olek. The burger was delicious. The fries were good and I could imagine them being even better with some sort of garlicky sauce rather than ketchup. They had some sort of masala and paired well with the burger. I'd like to return and potentially check out the paneer masala burger, and maybe a different fry option. Overall very good spot and will be back. Recommendation for vegetarians

Our visit to this spot was quite late, arriving around midnight, where we decided on both the chicken masala burger and the chicken wings burger. I found the wings burger to be particularly impressive; it was wonderfully spicy and packed with flavor. While the seating area definitely feels like it could use some attention, I get the impression the owners aren't necessarily looking to transform it into a more upscale establishment. It's possible they're intentionally maintaining that raw, 'old-style' atmosphere, perhaps aiming to recreate the authentic, bustling feel of hawker stalls reminiscent of those found across Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. All the dishes here are Halal, which is a great plus.

I just love their burgers! One outlet near Washington university & another one in Bellevue. Try their Chicken Masala Burger, mind blowing! Just love it! Punjabi owners who are really friendly & make your feel comfortable always once at their restaurant.
